The charm and character of the Cromaine Lodge make it one of the most unique banquet and conference centers in Michigan. With it's white pillar-lined front porch and scenic overlook of Lake Walden, guests have claimed that Cromaine is reminiscent to homes of "The Old South", "a mini-Grand Hotel" or even the resort featured in the 1987 movie classic "Dirty Dancing".

Ease of Access
Waldenwoods' proximity to the major metropolitan areas of South East and Central Michigan makes access easy. Waldenwoods is only an hour away from both downtown Detroit and Lansing, and a mere 30 minutes from Flint and Ann Arbor.

The banquet and conference center can host a variety of events including family reunions, graduation and anniversary parties, golf outings, business meetings and weddings. Our first class chef can customize a quality dining package for breakfast, lunch or dinner and our staff can serve an elegant plated meal, a scrumptious buffet or an old fashioned barbecue on the front lawn.

Cromaine has several rooms available to accommodate parties ranging from 15 to 250. Each room has that warm, old fashioned atmosphere with stone fireplaces and large windows. You'll also have no need to worry about hearing the party next door as you will receive exclusive rights to the lodge.

Overnight accommodations are available for business and event guests in our charming, historical Sunshine (17 rooms) and Friendship Lodges (19 rooms).  Both lodges are situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Walden and offer picturesque settings for guests. 

Each lodge has a porch area for relaxing and fire pit areas for evening gatherings.  Sunshine Lodge offers individual guest bathrooms, while Friendship is configured as a dormitory style with community men’s and ladies’ restrooms on each floor.  Rooms accommodate 2-4 guests.  When calling to reserve your event date please let the staff know if you will need overnight accommodations.  They will be happy to assist you!

The Hartland Equestrian Team would like to thank you for a very special team banquet at Waldenwoods.  You and your staff, bent over backwards to accommodate us event though we only gave you 3 days to prepare.  Your staff continued to come up with additional ways to make the night magical and most importantly, affordable.
Your wait staff was gracious to everyone, kids and adults, alike.  The team felt comfortable and was made to feel special.  It will be a night they will always remember.
